Reid “Ijie” Cox Conner passed away May 20, 2012 in Maryville, TN at age 94.

Ijie was born in Paris, TN June 18, 1917 and married Wilson Conner who preceded her in death.

She lived in Knoxville for many years before moving to Gatlinburg. “Ijie” became an active hiker, completing in both directions all the lower trails of the GSMNP with her hiking club.

She is survived by her brother, John R. Cox of Arizona , son, Chuck Conner and wife, Elaine Olinger of Rogersville and son, Bill Conner of Maui, Hawaii, grandsons, Chris Conner, wife, Melissa and David Conner of Maryville, great-grandchildren, Reid, Eliza and Jones.

A memorial service will be held in the Chapel at Shannondale of Maryville at 11 am, Friday, May 25 .

Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army in lieu of flowers.
