Dear Susie,Rebecca,and Family,
Our hearts are heavy by the loss of Dan and words cannot express our feelings. Even though we did not get to see him often, when we did he was always the same...so upbeat and always had that wonderful smile we all remember. There was such a sweetness about Dan. We look forward to reuniting with you in heaven Dan...for now our thoughts and prayers are with your family. You will be greatly missed. We love you!

Dear Suzanne and Rebecca,
Dan worked for me at Tommy Hilfiger a few years ago and to hear of his passing was a huge shock. I am so sorry for your loss. I would like you to know that even after Dan left Tommy, no matter where I saw him, at the grocery store or at Nike, he would always make it a point to come up to me and engage me in conversation, and always made it a point to tell me he was doing great and whenever I asked him how his little girl was doing, you could see his eyes light up and that huge smile of his grew even wider. Most of the time I had to tell him I had to go because he couldn't stop talking about how much he loved his little girl and how she had changed his life. I knew then that Dan was in fact a very changed man and this little girl had surely made him want to be a better person. I was very proud of the fact that Dan had made this little girl his everything and that he was taking the path that he was. I will miss going into the Nike store and not seeing Dan but he will always be there in my heart. I miss him, even though I did not get to see him that often. God has a plan for everyone, even Dan, and no one really knows what that plan is. I am glad that he led Dan to be a part of my son's life and I am certainly thankful for having the priveledge of knowing Dan myself. Dan was one of those people who would always make you laugh and make you wonder what if. May God bless as we keep you in our hearts and prayers.

Dan...the man! I just don't have words to express our grief. You are more like a brother, then a brother-in-law! You are the best uncle that my children could have asked for! They looked up to their Uncle Dan. You are the best father and husband. You will surely be missed. Who will bring the flowers for my thanksgiving dinner? We love you!

I met Dan while employed at Nike Factory Outlet. He was such a delightful person to work with and be around. He always, always kept a smile and never said anything bad about anyone. He was a very hard worker and took his job very serious. I know his family and friends are going to miss him very much because he was an awesome person to have known.

What can i say man...it just doesn't seem real! Ya know i have known you for ten years and I can honestly say that I have never met a more genuine, sincere, and honest person than you! We started as friends and became brothers in such a short time!!! Life just doesn't seem the same without you bro...my heart hurts because this world has lost someone that meant so much to many people and I will never forget you! I remember asking you to be in Alecia and I's wedding and the look on your face meant everything to me man...I'll tell ya this Dan-O, even though your not here with us today...I know in my heart you will be there standing right beside me and all of our friends on my wedding day! I only had the privelage of knowing Dan for just a few months but in those few short months Dan gave me the ability to see the positive in anything that the day threw at me. He was always positive, upbeat and his laugh...his laugh still puts a smile on my face! Dan...I will never forget you and you will be missed!

Mr. Elias, what can I say...you have always been one of my closest friends and I cant imagine life without you. Nothing is the same...being at home reminds me of you and going to work at Nike does too. You were a part of almost every aspect of my life, and I just don't know what to do now that you're gone. There have been so many times that we've said that we were more like family really, than friends. I believe that with all my heart. Our time has ended much too soon, and to be honest I don't know how life will ever get back to normal not having you around. You truly are an angel and always sacrificed yourself for the happiness of your little girl, and for that I admire you more than you'll ever know. Dan, you truly are an inspiriation with your selflessness and amazing ablilty to take life as it comes and make the best of it.
