Bob Eduard Anemaet, age 85 of Krikilan, Indonesia, entered the Gates of Glory on Thursday July 18, 2019 at 9:13 PM, at home in Sevierville Tennessee, surrounded by family.
Pop grew up in Dutch East Indies while it was a colony, where he survived Japanese internment and learned electrical studies. After World War II Bob moved to Holland, became a machinist and met his wife Josephine (Jos). Bob and Jos were able to emigrate from the Netherlands to Natick, MA under the Waltor Pastor Act, and had two children there. After 4 years there Bob moved the family to warmer climates in St. Petersburg, FL, working as a machinist at ABA Industries, until his retirement in 1989. Later he moved with his son Allan and his daughter-in-law Deborah to Sevierville in 2014. He was a loving Father, Opa, and Brother. He was the gentle man in our lives, with a great sense of humor. Pop was a regular attendee at First Baptist Church of Sevierville, actively involved with flying RC planes, dancing, golfing, bridge, kayaking, feeding his birds, traveling to Vegas and spending time with learning new skills.
Pop was preceded in death by his Parents Cornelia and Eduard Anemaet, Brother Max, and Nephew Raymond.
His Survivors include: Son, Allan Anemaet; Daughter-in-law Deborah Anemaet; Daughter, Evelyn Anemaet and her husband Brian Huston; Ex-Wife of 16 years, Josephine Anemaet; and Granddaughter, Aviendha Anemaet.
The Family will receive friends and family at First Baptist Church of Sevierville, July 23, 2019 at 6 pm in the Parlor.
