Obituary

Nannie Lou Manning, from Tellico Plains, passed away on November 14, 2021.

She is preceded in death by her husband Earl Morgan Manning; parents Charles Freeman and Lottie Freeman; brother Marcus Freeman; and sister Dorothy West.

She is survived by her son William J Becker; daughter Tammy Joe Harrison; brothers James Freeman and Thomas Freeman; sisters Lillie West, Rose Davis, and Ann Powdrill; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews along with several fur grandbabies.

Nannie Manning was an avid gardener and surrounded herself and her son with lush greenery and beauty every day. Along with her mastery with plants, she was also an amazing cook. She made the best dumplings and homemade biscuits. One of her favorite places to be was on the beach, watching the sailboats and listening to the waves.

Nannie will be laid to rest in Piney Grove Freeman Cemetery in Tellico Plains, TN next to her sister.
