Scott Crosson age 62, was called by our lord to play that great gig in the sky on August 31 2021.
He is survived by Beth Crosson -devoted and devastated wife of 41 years, Devon Crosson -heartbroken daughter who was one of his best pals, Jarith Crosson - beloved special needs grandson, Linda Crosson -A sister who greatly admired his grit and determination, his many talents, and his strong hug, Jason Brown, Becky Brown Wojcik and Jill Hamby - much loved and appreciated niece and nephew who have been a godsend to his grieving household, as well as wide circle of family and friends who can't believe it could end like this, especially after all the rough times he made it through in his 62 years.
Scott edged into his teens in the '70s rock'n'rebellion years with Alice Cooper, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest and blastable speakers. He got his first guitar. He acted in high school productions of Dracula and West Side Story. He loved to perform and never stopped loving it.
He was an extremely well versed and intelligent man who had an ability to hold almost anyones interest long enough for them to learn something new. Every conversation with him was an opportunity to be educated.
He and his wife started there life together in South Jersey. Their love and dedication to each other was a inspiration to everyone they knew. For a while Scott and Beth operated a horse and carriage business doing weddings and tours at Batsto historic park He had many bands over the years, recorded 1 1/2 CDs of his original songs. He was a talent that put other talented people in awe. A strong, soulful voice that could shake mountains.
15 years ago he bought land in the Great Smokey Mountains and started a new chapter with his family . In everything they did, Scott and Beth were partners, each taking on what all was necessary and shoring each other up.
After years of blood sweat and tears, he and his family were robbed of his final chapter in life just 2 weeks away from a much deserved retirement. A travesty that we will never get over.
He will be greatly missed by all the lives he touched during his too short time on this earth.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 5th. We are having memorial visitation starting at 2pm and services are at 3pm at Rawlings funeral home located at:
212 Court Ave, Sevierville, TN 37862
We will also be doing a live feed of the service and a link should be posted around that time.
His daughter requests that if anyone wants to do something for us, there are 2 things you can do, if anyone has any pictures, recordings, videos or crazy stories please send them to us. Also he has a fair amount of material posted on YouTube. It would be great everyone would go through and pick out a song to share on social media. We want as many people as possible to experience his talent.
