Tommy William Ownby, 52, of Sevierville has gone home to be with the Lord on March 9th, 2022.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Buford & Viola McCarter and Luther & Nobbia Ownby; aunt Judy Branch; cousin Becky Burkett; and nieces Kristy and Whitney.
Tommy is survived by his parents Ronald & Sue Ownby; daughters, Jordan (Shawn) Mize and Brittany Ownby; brother Teddy (Penny) Ownby; sisters Rhonda (Larry) Ferguson and Donna (John); grandchildren William Rymar, Dexter Mize, and one baby boy on the way; special aunts Vickie, Janet, Karen and Joyce; special cousin Gail; special nephew Jesse; special friend Bob, Chris and Jessica Ferguson, along with several other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Tommy Ownby spent a happy life surrounded by his family and made the world a brighter place with his guitar and singing. His family considers him a bit of a comedian who would never fail to make you smile.
The family will receive friends and family at Mountain View Baptist Church on Tuesday, March 15th, 2022 from 5pm-6:30pm with service immediately following at 6:30pm. Rev John Olin Ownby and Rev Ray Burkett will officiate.
