Zane Dean Brown, 78 and a resident of Kodak, TN departed this life on June 25, 2022. Zane, the daughter of Farley Surface and Kathleen (Dillon) Willis and beloved step-daughter of Carl Willis, was born in Charleston, WV, on September 6, 1943.
She worked for the IRS and then the Air Force Contract Division as a Budget Analyst before retiring. Zane was especially proud of her contributions to NASA projects including the Hubble Space Telescope.
Zane was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family beyond words.
She will be very much missed by her husband of 61 years, Stan Brown, daughter Laura Mckenzie (Michael), son Gary Brown, daughter Stephanie McAninch, a tribe of beloved grandchildren, a great-grandchild, two sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law and a host of nieces and nephews.
We, her family, are very grateful for her life and for the multitude of ways she showed her love to us. In Lieu of Flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
A celebration of Zane’s life will be held on July 23, 2022, at the Robin Easter Design Studio in Knoxville, TN, at noon.
